Net neutrality is once again in the crosshairs as lobbyists and giant telecom companies continue their campaign to thwart our open internet, and Erik from Internet Comment Etiquette delivers a tongue in cheek take at one of the big issues of our time.
It seems like once or twice a year, there’s a huge push to bill a proposed bill, but every time we band together and contact our representatives and kill one anti net neutrality bill, like a hydra it peaks another head out shortly after.
It can get discouraging when you work so hard to stop something, and you win, and then a few months later they’re just going to try to sneak it through again. Defending our internet isn’t a one time thing, it’s not something you just do and then you’re done. It’s an ongoing fight, and it feels like we’re just getting started.
How many more times will the internet have to win until corporate interests stop trying to weasel their way into acting directly against the best interest of their customers and society as a whole?
Take a break from feeling frustrated and outraged and think about the poor corporations who are going to suffer when we once again snuff out another attack on net neutrality with Erik from the Youtube channel Internet Comment Etiquette.
