Youtuber Boogie2988 has a mysterious package, and it’s also huge. What’s inside?
Longtime viewers of Boogie2988’s Youtube channel will recognize the running gag in which he laments on never winning the Mega Crate from Loot Crate.
Well, Boogie’s lucky day has finally arrived… kind of.
While he wasn’t eligible to win the real Megacrate due to his affiliation with the company, his pals over at Loot Crate put together a special version of the grand prize just for him. The giant box box was packed with goodies including a slick 4K gaming monitor, a Sonos speaker, and an Amazon Echo.
Boogie has spoken openly about going through some very tough times lately, so hopefully this is a helpful reminder that he doesn’t just have a passionate audience, but also some solid sponsors who have got his back.
It seems like Boogie’s rep from Loot Crate knew him very well, too, and knew that Boogie would immediately want to give away the Loot to his audience, so they actually doubled-up and created a second crate to send to lucky fans.
Here’s the unboxing video:
Loot Crates can be a ton of fun, even if you don’t carry a membership year round, there are often some great bargains and special themed crates you can grab as a one-off. They make it very easy to cancel so it’s not one of those monthly renewal types of scams that trap you, and the times I’ve done it have genuinely felt like I got my money’s worth.
With the monetization troubles that many popular creators are facing, it’s always nice to see sponsors that not only support creators, but let them do their thing. A lot of popular Youtubers could change their content to be more advertiser friendly, but then you just end up with polished content like you’d find on cable TV… so it’s always worthwhile to give a shout-out to the sponsors who recognize the potential for great things when they stand behind the creators they support. We discussed this recently with Pewdiepie and his chair sponsor, if you’re interested in this topic.
